Malice at the Palace references the Pacers/Pistons brawl from November 19, 2004, at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Known as “the most infamous brawl in NBA history” The brawl was between Ben Wallace and Ron Artest, and eventually, several fans in attendance.

The themes of basketball throughout and fighting on the album are incredibly cohesive.
